GENEVIEVE BLAZINI

Genevieve is a well-known and respected Bergen County practitioner whose exclusive focus for the past five years has been Matrimonial and Family Law. She joined Marotta & Tuchman in September 2024 and represents clients in all aspects of divorce, custody, post-judgment matters, grandparents’ rights, and prenuptial agreements in Bergen and across the state. Genevieve is a skilled litigator and has successfully tried numerous domestic violence cases and other types of family and civil trials and plenary hearings in many different counties. Genevieve is a member of the Bergen County District IIA Ethics Committee and the Bergen County Bar Association Family Law Committee.

Genevieve’s experience stretches beyond the legal profession. She started out as an editor and writer in New York City and then as a marketing executive in the medical education industry. Her writing was published in high circulation peer-reviewed medical, reaching even the White House in 2000 and garnering written recognition from President Clinton. Moving to the marketing side of the industry, Genevieve managed multi-million-dollar pharma accounts, managing a team and traveling around the world to work in partnership with renowned thought leaders in neurology, psychiatry, oncology, and numerous other disciplines. In 2006, she won the You Make the Difference Inspiring Leader Award from Thomson Healthcare, an accolade voted on by her peers and colleagues.

Genevieve graduated from Rutgers School of Law in 2010, just weeks before the birth of twin boys. While home on leave, she worked part-time as an adjunct professor teaching Constitutional Law at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, where she also gave seminars on Presidential Power in Post-9/11 America. During this period, she acquired additional licenses to practice law in New York and Pennsylvania…and gave birth to her third son. Genevieve and her husband live in Bergen County with the boys and their two rescues, Ava and Blitz.
